The Health Science Satellite Magnet allows students to explore careers of their choice, receive hands-on instruction, and apply principles learned in their academic classes. They can use career skills for employment or to continue their education at an advanced level. Some students can also receive dual high school and college credit.

A pharmacy technician is a health care worker who helps a pharmacist:
· Prepare prescription medication
· Communicates with doctors
· Provides customer service
· Establish & maintain patient files
*This course requires a 1 year commitment. 12th Grade Year
Train to become a member of a healthcare profession where specialists work with patients suffering from acute or chronic cardiac and respiratory disease. Because of the specialized nature of the job, a certified Respiratory Therapist can expect to have a fulfilling job while making an above average salary
